**About the role**

An excellent opportunity is now available for an experienced Safety Assurance Manager to join our Operations team. Your focus will be the strategic direction of our safety assurance program throughout the participating states.

Reporting to the Director Service Delivery, this role will suit a strategic and astute safety compliance or quality assurance professional who is inspired to make a difference in road safety.

**About You**

This role will suit an experienced or qualified Safety Assurance professional who has:

- Previous experience in a leadership role within quality assurance, safety compliance or experience in conducting internal/external audits.
- Strong experience in assurance activities including planning and scoping of reviews, assessing risks end-to-end through robust testing and reporting of findings and actions.
- Well-developed verbal and written communications skills with experience working with a broad range of stakeholders across Australia.
- Fantastic interpersonal and engagement skills, you can foster strong relationships and partake in conversations regarding anticipated and emerging risks
- Exceptional leadership capability and enjoy coaching and mentoring a team
- Knowledge of safety management systems and risk-based decision framework
- Ability to travel intrastate and interstate on a regular basis
