Undertake a Parks and Gardens apprenticeship while working for a local council.

Develop the local community through enhancing and celebrant many of the diverse identifies, and cultures within the council; creating high quality spaces and places; and providing learning and employment opportunities.

**About the role**

As a member of the Parks Service Team you will carry out maintenance and improvement works throughout the unique landscapes of the community.

You will provide this through delivering maintenance works, including but not limited to:

- Horticultural maintenance, improvement, and plating
- Brush cutting and edging
- Tree maintenance
- Litter removal
- Grass cutting / mowing

Other key responsibilities of the role include:

- Reporting any damage or malfunction of plant and equipment to your Team Leader immediately
- Art in a courteous, cooperative, responsible and professional manner at all times
- Refer any member of the public to your Team Leader for any questions that cannot be properly answered
- Wear approved PPE / uniform during working hours, including all requisite safety clothing and equipment
- Work with your team to improve work practices and provide better ways of working
