**About the role**

We are seeking a dedicated Pawnbroker Loan Service & Retail Assistant to join our team at Tinson Jewellers and Pawnbrokers' in our Southbank branch, VIC. In this fulltime role, you will play a key part in delivering exceptional customer service and managing our pawnbroking loan services. With a focus on building lasting relationships, your role will be crucial in supporting the growth and success of our established family-owned business.

**What you'll be doing**
- Providing professional and personalised pawnbroking loan services, including assessing items, negotiating loan terms, and processing transactions
- Assisting customers with retail purchasing, returns, and enquiries in our jewellery and pawnshop
- Maintaining accurate records and administrative processes for all pawnbroking and retail activities
- Ensuring the retail space is well-presented, stocked, and secure at all times
- Contributing to the overall success of the business through sales, customer service, and teamwork
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures and legal requirements

**What we're looking for**
- Previous experience in a pawnbroking, retail, or customer service role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers
- Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail for processing financial transactions
- A keen eye for quality and design, with the ability to assess the value of jewellery and other goods
- A positive, friendly, and professional demeanour, with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- English Chinese bilingual staff
- Proven experience in a customer-facing retail or service role

Pay: $46,732.51 - $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates
