- **The Role**:_
- GPS is seeking a highly experienced FX Sales Specialist to join our Corporate Sales team. Current or previous experience at a large commercial bank or financial services firm selling foreign exchange to corporate clients is required. Experience in equity and/or fund sales is also required. In addition, the role requires an in depth understanding of the AUK FTA Objectives, with a focus on facilitating trade and connecting business in Australia and the U.K, reducing barriers to trade and associated costs. Ideally the applicant would have a thorough understanding of Australian/UK import-export best practices and a desire to develop global networks with commercial interest being key._
- **Job Duties**:_
- _To gain a thorough understanding of GPS products in order to market and close sales opportunities for foreign exchange products and international payment services._
- _Manage the complete sales cycle process to ensure maximum productivity and completion of sales/pipeline reports and competitor information._
- _Check credit worthiness of clients based on government held financial information and other publicly available information_
- _Interpret financial periodicals and quarterly management accounts_
- _Analyse financial markets pricing and Currency derivative products._
- _Proffer advice on financial market conditions on a daily and periodic basis to the GPS client base in Australia_
- _Confirmation of trade information with clients, specifically pricing and payment dates_
- _Monitor options pricing and changes in market volatility_
- _Instruct and execute buy and sell FX orders_
- _Calculate transactional costs and fee income_
- _Explain product and service capabilities to clients, overcome objections, prepare contracts_
- _Manage all elements of a client portfolio_
- _Communicate customer requirements, sales, and lead information with management and the trading team_
- _Develop strategies for building relationships with experienced corporate clients specifically between Australia and the UK_
- _Adhere to the GPS Compliance and Anti-Money Laundering procedures, as well as all company policies_
- **Skills/Qualifications**:_
- _Proficiency in derivative instrument pricing and sells._
- _AFMA FX and Equities Modules completed and RG146 Accredited_
- _Experience managing a portfolio of clients._
- _Ability to learn and demonstrate different software packages._
- _Extensive knowledge of client exposures at a corporate level, understand income statements and Balance Sheets._
- _Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS and how it relates to Foreign Exchange._
- _Experience selling cash flow and fair value hedges to Corporations._
- _Understanding of Australian Free Trade Agreements with the UK_
- _An understanding of financial, digital & professional services_
- _Willingness to travel_
- _5+ years of professional sales experience._
- _Must be able to pass a background check._

**Salary**: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
