At **The Tea Cosy**, we pride ourselves on creating a warm, welcoming space where guests can enjoy delightful teas, freshly baked scones, and a variety of delicious treats. We're seeking a **Kitchen Supervisor** who is friendly, flexible, and has experience in kitchen management, but doesn't necessarily need to be a top-tier chef. If you're passionate about quality food, have experience leading a team, and enjoy creating menus that delight customers, we want to hear from you

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Oversee day-to-day operations in the kitchen, ensuring smooth service and timely food preparation.
- Manage kitchen staff, including task allocation and ensuring proper staff levels throughout shifts.
- Monitor stock stocktakes, and maintain inventory for ingredients and supplies.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation, particularly for our signature scones, sandwiches, and other menu items.
- Assist with menu creation, updating offerings, and ensuring they align with our brand and customer preferences.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment, following food safety standards and regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to kitchen staff to improve skills and ensure consistency in food preparation.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment where team members feel motivated and supported.

**What We're Looking For**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen management or a supervisory role in a café, restaurant, or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations, stock control, and menu development.
- Ability to manage and motivate a small team while maintaining a calm, organised kitchen.
- Good knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene.
- Friendly, approachable, and adaptable with excellent communication skills.
- A passion for high-quality food and customer satisfaction.
- Good command of English.
- Flexibility to work weekends and some evenings as required.

Pay: $72,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
