**Procurement & Contracts Specialist**

Proximity has over 100 advisors, lawyers, project managers and commercial experts. Our Procurement & Contracts practice is rapidly growing and are looking for Procurement & Contract specialists and officers to join our team. The Procurement & Contract team deliver on-site services to our Commonwealth clients. We assist our clients to solve real problems and strive to make a difference.

**The opportunity**:

- Work as a procurement & Contracts specialist across some of the Commonwealth’s biggest and most complex procurements
- Strengthen client relationships by working with clients and their teams on-site
- Use your practical understanding of government procurement policies to interpret process and procedures
- Support the collaborative negotiation with suppliers, anticipate problems and encourage strong performance outcomes for our government clients
- Support or lead streams of work including RFQ development, approach to market, evaluation processes, and contract management, compliance assessment, gap analysis, risk assessment, pricing and value for money assessment for on time delivery
- Act as a key team member to assist in end-to-end delivery of high value and complex procurement projects, or playing a key part in the client delivery procurement program
- Use your strong expertise of the Defence or Commonwealth Government procurement and contracting life-cycle is top-of-mind everyday
- Gain exposure to high-value procurements and interesting pieces of work everyday

**To succeed in this role, you will need**:

- Prior experience working within or with a Federal Government department in a commercial setting, ideally within Defence, National Security, Health, or Environment agencies.
- 3years + experience providing Procurement & Contracts experience within the federal government space
- Have or working towards a Cert IV in Procurement & Contracts (desirable)
- Must have a baseline security clearance, (NV1 and above Highly Desirable)
