**THE OPPORTUNITY**
We are looking for an experienced Claims Assistant to be part of our vibrant team within our **Newcastle office.**
The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to our Case Managers enabling Employers Mutual to pro-actively & effectively achieve compliance and management of worker’s compensation claims. This position operates in a high volume and deadline driven environment that focuses on the pro-active administration and management of claims.
This will be a** 6-month opportunity which has potential to be extended **and based in the **Newcastle office**, with flexibility to work from home.
**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Providing claims administration support to our Case Managers
- Coordinating medical and travel appointments
- Answering phones, providing customer service, and taking messages
- Typing letters and data entry
- Filing, photocopying and other ad-hoc administrative tasks
- Following up invoices and finalising claims
**ABOUT YOU**
- Previous administration experience in the insurance industry or legal industry is highly desired
- Previous experience in administration and office support
- Competent use of MS Word and Excel
- High level of typing accuracy
- Ability to take direction and a willingness to learn
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Time management and organisational skills
