The Regulatory Design & Engagement Lead supports the Bureau's mission to deliver increased value and impact to Australia's community. Focused on our water regulations and standards functions, this role will lead the design and implementation of our stakeholder engagement strategy, regulatory reporting, monitoring and compliance frameworks and provides specialist engagement advice in the development of water regulations and standards.

The Bureau is central to the quality and availability of water information across the country, having been entrusted as Australia's water information agency via the _Water Act 2007_. We deliver our water information functions through collaboration with over 200 data provider organisations named in the_ Water Regulations 2008_.

In response to the following drivers of change: (i) Recent Government investment in water reform and a focus on water markets reform; (ii) rapid technological advancements; and (iii) shifts in customer expectations and requirements, the Bureau is seeking an experienced professional to provide leadership in our water regulations and standards activities.

They will strive to maximise the value the Water Regulations deliver to the community while minimising burden on regulated entities. They will be innovative, building a trusted network of peers among Regulators, policy departments and regulated entities in support of the Bureau's development and implementation of water information standards and regulations vision. They will also build and maintain awareness and support within the Bureau in the delivery of its regulatory responsibilities and related opportunities.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Water Regulations and Standards Section Manager, Subject Matter Experts and Project Managers to provide support and delivery assistance for the operations of the Bureau's water regulations and standards, advance water information regulatory reform, and deliver integrated and collaborative solutions that are grounded through strong stakeholder engagement and embedded into ongoing operations.
