MLC School is looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Sports Coordinator who will educate and inspire young women to be fearless thinkers with moral courage and compassion to be agents of change in their own lives and in the lives of others.

**About MLC School**

Founded in 1886, MLC School is an independent, nonselective Uniting Church school for girls from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 12 in Sydney’s inner-west. Our tagline ‘dare to be more’ is not only our goal for our students, it applies equally to our staff. Our highly professional staff, under the guidance of Principal Ms Lisa Moloney, challenge girls and encourage them to question traditional perceptions and roles of women.

**About the position**

The Sports Coordinator works closely with the Director of Sport to manage and promote the overall development and implementation of the MLC School Sports Program (Pre-K to 12).

The Sports Coordinator works collaboratively within a professional, proactive, and enthusiastic sports department to implement a diverse sports program that promotes fitness for life, encourages achieving personal excellence and instils in students a sense of pride and belonging.

The role works across Monday to Saturday. In this position, you will be required to attend various sporting fixtures/functions on weekends, evenings and outside traditional hours.**

**Selection Criteria**:
You will be able to demonstrate your ability and commitment to:

- The ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative to make informed decisions
- Willingness to work outside regular school hours.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of IPSHA and IGSA and representative sport pathways.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing situations.
- A thorough knowledge of school sports including but not limited to IPSHA and IGSA
- A relevant Sports Coaching Qualification
- Experience working in an educational setting/sporting environment
- Hold a light rigid driver's licence (desirable) Experience in athletics, hockey, snow sports or basketball (desirable)
- State of the art facilities and collegiate environment
