**Key areas of responsibility include**:

- Work with clinical staff to conduct and assist with all aspects of data collection procedures according to the developed survey protocols.
- Upkeep of data collection quality on a day-to-day basis.
- Provide friendly, ethical, and safe assessment of study participants.

**Experience**:

- Excellent written and oral communication skills and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree, in clinical eye health or related field is desirable but not required (Vision Science, ClinicalOptometry, Orthoptics, or Medicine).
- Clinical eye health examination skills (visual acuity testing, refraction, use of ophthalmic diagnostic equipment, identification of eye/ vision conditions).

**Skills/Knowledge**:

- Experience with clinical or epidemiological surveys of eye disease is desirable. This may involve field work on eye health surveys or a higher degree in the field.
- Experience with using diagnostic eye health equipment e.g., slit lamp, OCT machine, retinal camera, refraction.
- Experience with diagnosing and appropriate triage referrals of acute and chronic eye disease e.g., acute angle closure glaucoma, neovascular macular degeneration, contact lens keratitis etc is desirable.
