**Cafe Assistant Manager**

Merak GF is a family owned, bustling, gluten-free artisan café located in the heart of Redland Bay along the Redlands Coast.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic team leader to run the day-to-day operations of our busy, beautiful café.

This is a **Full-Time position** from approx. 6.30am to 3pm (approx 38 hours per week) **Wednesday to Sunday**.

**Duties include (but are not limited to)**:

- Serving Customers
- Preparing cabinet food
- Overseeing inventory and stock levels
- Cafe Roster
- Staff Training & Mentoring
- POS
- Reporting to the café manager

**About YOU**:

- you will demonstrate a definite passion for good coffee/food/cakes, and a flare for customer service
- you must have at least **one to two year’s proven experience** in a similar management position
- you will have strong leadership and team management skills
- you must be reliable, responsible, professional, mature, committed & driven and able to thrive under pressure
- barista experience is desirable but not required
- you must have the relevant hospitality qualifications or the proven relevant experience (inc your RSA)
- a current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate would be desirable but is not mandatory
- you will take utmost pride in everything that you do and be committed and driven, especially in relation to your career

This is a hands on and very rewarding position that requires you to lead our team, care for our customers using your amazing management skills and passion for hospitality. You will lead by example and be strategically minded, knowing that each day brings something different which will require you to be versatile to ensure that Merak GF products are presented to the utmost highest standard and that our customers’ experience is a satisfying one.

You must have full working rights in Australia, be able to travel to Redland Bay 4165.

Pay: $62,000.00 - $71,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Fixed shift
