Maxima, in partnership with the City of Salisbury, are looking for outdoor enthusiasts to undertake a 3-year traineeship within Horticulture.

The City of Salisbury, located just 30 minutes from the Adelaide CBD, are one of Adelaide’s fastest growing council areas in the Northern Suburbs. With a purpose to leave the community in a better state for future generations, you could leave a mark on the development of local infrastructure and make a difference

Not only will you receive hands-on industry experience, paid training, relevant licences, and all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided, you will also achieve a nationally recognised **Certificate III in Horticulture.**

**Duties Include**:

- Garden and grounds maintenance
- Mulch, prune, pot, and water plants
- Tree removal
- Use of woodchippers and other garden machinery and tools
- Brush cutting and mowing
- Pest and weed control
- Installation and maintenance of irrigation pipes and watering systems

**S**kills and Knowledge**:

- Enjoy working outdoors and with garden tools
- Be committed, reliable and hardworking
- Manage and prioritise time when working under pressure
- Work effectively in a team and unsupervised
- Good communication skills
- Have a can-do attitude, displaying initiative on the job

**Role Requirements**:

- Provisional or full driver’s licence with own vehicle
- Physically fit and healthy due to manual labour work
- Satisfactorily pass a pre-employment assessment including a drug and alcohol test
- Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or similar trade (advantageous)
