We have a vacancy for a Paralegal Secretary in Kogarah for a full-time position. ABOVE AWARD.
**THE ROLE**
Monday to Friday. We are close to public transport.
- Administrative Support: Paralegal secretaries handle various administrative tasks, such as managing phone calls, scheduling appointments, organizing meetings, maintaining calendars, and handling correspondence on behalf of attorneys.
- Document Preparation: You will assist in the preparation and editing of legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, briefs, motions, and other legal filings. This requires attention to detail and accuracy.
- Legal Research: Paralegal secretaries often conduct legal research under the guidance of attorneys. They may gather information, review case law, statutes, regulations, and other legal sources to support the legal team's effort.
- Case Management: You will help manage case files and maintain the organization of legal documents, ensuring that all relevant materials are accessible to attorneys when needed.
- Client Communication: Paralegal secretaries may interact with clients to relay information or schedule appointments. However, they do not provide legal advice, as that is the role of the attorney.
- Court Filings and Deadlines: You will assist in preparing and filing legal documents with courts and administrative agencies, ensuring compliance with procedural rules and deadlines.
- Billing and Financial Matters: Paralegal secretaries may handle billing matters, track billable hours, and assist with financial aspects related to the legal practice.
- Technology and Software: You will utilize legal software and technology for document management, research, and case tracking. Proficiency in relevant software is essential for efficient work.
- Confidentiality: Paralegal secretaries are required to maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information and sensitive legal matters.
- Legal Support: Provide general support to attorneys in various legal tasks, which may vary based on the specific practice area and requirements of the law firm or organization.

- Living in Australia (the position is in Kogarah Sydney)
- Computer literate - conversant with legal research databases
- Experienced as a paralegal secretary
