Boomaroo is a world class vegetable seedling producer, supplying over 300 million seedlings and 1.5 million garden and indoor plants to growers and nurseries across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, ACT, Tasmania, and South Australia.

**The Opportunity**

There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Operator to join our team. The role will support the Production Manager in ensuring that the buildings, plant, and equipment are well maintained, well presented, physically secure, compliant with all appropriate regulations and provide a safe environment for our employees.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Production Manager this newly re-designed role will be an integral part of the Maintenance Team. You will be responsible for carrying out the maintenance of a range of electrical, automated equipment while working in a team environment.

This role is a full-time position, approximately 24 hours per week, with days and hours negotiable.

**Key Responsibilities**

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

- Ensure plant troubleshooting by critically evaluating problems which may arise in the system, undertake technical investigation, if required, provide, and implement technically sound solution to the problem
- Performing routine maintenance plans and daily tasks as assigned by the Production Manager
- Work towards maximum uptime and all production targets
- Identifying, diagnosing & rectifying problems and inefficiencies in relation to equipment, inventory, and buildings
- Developing and administering a maintenance program
- Assist in the development of a service program for the site including planned maintenance
- Managing & administering maintenance/servicing of company equipment in line with maintenance program
- Coordinate the grounds keeping team in conjunction with the Production Manager
- Coordination of external contractors for maintenance activities
- Active focus on Health and Safety for all tasks as per company policies

To be successful in this role the incumbent will require: Essential
- QLD Electrical Licence
- Demonstrated maintenance experience (5+ years)
- Demonstrated experience with automated machinery maintenance
- Demonstrated experience with equipment fault finding and repair
- Open Drivers Licence

Desirable
- Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
