**ABOUT THE ROLE**
The Payroll Officer provides crucial administrative and payroll support to the Payroll Manager ensuring that our employees are provided with accurate and reliable responses to their individual payroll queries in a courteous and professional manner. Under the direction of the Payroll Manager this position is responsible for supporting the management of Omni’s payroll including the processing of timesheets, superannuation, taxation, and other legislative requirements. This involves assisting the Payroll Manager with the preparation of monthly pay runs, including contract changes, leave entries and other payroll duties, supporting Omni employees in the use of the ESS (MyOmni), day to day management of payroll queries, and as required support to the Payroll Manager with auditing and data reporting requirements.

**OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE**
**ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
The Payroll Officer will have or be able to quickly acquire:
- Working experience of human resource systems, including payroll, leave and timesheet management.
- The ability to develop and maintain constructive, productive relationships with stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be able to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance.
It would be desirable if they had:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- An understanding of the SAGE People, MicrOpay or a similar HRIS and payroll system.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
