The State Valuation Service has touchpoints with almost every land parcel in Queensland, and the work is interesting and varied and is carried out all over the State. This can vary from the islands in the Whitsunday, large grazing portfolios in western Queensland to the commercial CBD of Brisbane. There is opportunity to travel throughout Queensland with this variety of tasks.

**This position requires**:
- Demonstrated ability to acquire, interpret and apply, relevant legislation as well as the appropriate exercise of regulatory powers.
- Your abilities to work within a team and to have a customer centric approach to your work
- Experience in using information and communication technology systems to effectively undertake and manage work commitmentsKey duties and accountabilities
- Working under supervision, show initiative in undertaking an individual commitment in providing valuations for statutory, state land administration and client and asset purposes and assist with the resolution of statutory grievances related to valuation activities
- In accordance with statutory requirements and the instruction of clients, deliver consistent valuation services which align to SVS procedures and work instructions, and comply with departmental standards, policies and work instructions as they relate to the work unit
- Recognise and provide advice on emerging issues and trends and recommend new initiatives that lead to improvements in services and efficiency
- Participate in the development of business relationships to provide services and identify business opportunities within defined markets
- Participate in professional and personal development, both operational and professional and work collaboratively, operating as an effective team member
- Develop monthly work plans that clearly demonstrate an understanding of current workloads and report to management on performance against Client Service Standards
- Liaise with and provide valuation related advice as required, including written correspondence to departmental staff, other government departments, government owned agencies, local government and members of the public
- Use advanced information and communication technology systems to effectively undertake and manage work commitments
- You will be required to drive a motor vehicle, sometimes in remote locations.
