The role of the Administrative Support Services team is to provide essential administrative support to all Housing Portfolio’s directorates, encompassing business support, resource allocation, fleet management, and coordinating establishment changes for seamless business continuity and accurate reporting.
The purpose of this role is to perform project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of administrative projects in line with established objectives.
**What you’ll do**
As the Assistant Project Officer in the Southern Business Services team, you will play a vital role in facilitating client centred outcomes leveraging your excellent communication and negotiation skills to work across Homes NSW in your delivery of this. You will support the development and delivery of programs using relevant data and business insights.
Your responsibilities include
- Provide a range of administrative and support services to meet the business needs of the team/unit
- Draft and prepare correspondence, agendas, minutes, presentations, and briefing notes to support the achievement of business requirements
- Assist and support a variety of projects, which includes monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, and managing key client deliverables and tasks
- Provide operational advice and communication to stakeholders regarding project status and implementation issues will be essential, along with analysing issues to recommend appropriate solutions within delegation and context
- Manage financial processes, including raising purchase orders, paying invoices and preparing journals
- Respond to and resolve complex enquiries and issues to ensure the provision of accurate information, and the timely and effective resolution of issues
- Research, and interrogation of multiple information systems to assist in responding to issues/complaints resolution
**What we’re looking for**
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work with a diverse client cohort to facilitate the timely resolution of complaint and feedback matters
- Excellent problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyse various datasets, reports and trends
- Understanding of project management practices
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline are preferable and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Current and valid driver’s license
