**The Role**:
As a Remote Pilot at Skyports, you will play a crucial role in our flight operations team. You will be responsible for operating our advanced drone systems for various services, including drone delivery, surveying, and surveillance. Your expertise in remote piloting, adherence to aviation regulations, and commitment to safety will contribute to the successful execution of our missions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to the development of operational procedures, and provide valuable insights and recommendations based on post-flight analysis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate and fly our advanced drone systems for a range of services, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, company guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Conduct Job Safety Assessments and Job specific risk assessments and ensure, authorizations are obtained prior to each mission.
- Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections to ensure the optimal condition of equipment and drone systems.
- Ensure the serviceability of aircraft and quarantine any unserviceable equipment to prevent accidental use.
- Execute missions with precision, capturing high-quality data for surveying, surveillance, or delivering packages securely and on time.
- Assist with flight safety awareness, continuously promoting a culture of safety within the team.
- Perform post-flight analysis, contribute to detailed mission reports, and provide valuable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Update flying logs within 24 hours of flying operations.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on drone systems, including pre-flight checks, battery management, and equipment calibration.
- Maintain currency and competency on UAS platform types through ongoing training and self-directed learning.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Skyports, promoting our values, safety culture, and commitment to excellence in all interactions with clients, stakeholders, and the public.

**Qualifications**:

- Hold a valid **Remote Pilot License** (RePL) Multi-rotor, up to 25kgs.
- Hold a valid **Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate** or higher (AROC).
- Hold a valid drivers license.
- Demonstrated experience in remote piloting, preferably in drone delivery, survey, or surveillance operations.
- Proficiency in utilising drone flight control software and operating drone payloads effectively.
- Strong understanding of aviation safety protocols and the ability to assess and mitigate risks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in dynamic situations.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with internal teams and clients.
- Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
- Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally for **up to 8 weeks at a time**to conduct on-site operations or training.

**Desirable**:

- Experience with DJI Pilot 2 for Enterprise
