Your Role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital

To assist in the preparation, delivery and service of meals to patients and staff to a high standard of excellence.

The Position- Interpret menu cards for meal service to patients.- Assist with the washing of cutlery, crockery and glassware.- Assist with the washing up of large heavy-duty pots, pans and other kitchen utensils.- Observe and practice all aspects of food, kitchen and personal hygiene.- Assist with general kitchen hygiene, washing of walls, floors and refrigerators etc., and other areas as requested.- To ensure that direct working relationships are established and maintained with colleagues and internal/external customers.

You will have basic knowledge of all areas of kitchen hygiene, the ability to interpret menus correctly, along with the ability to prioritise your work and work to a set schedule

To succeed you will have good interpersonal skills, the ability to use your initiative, demonstrate reliability and work with mínimal supervision and guidance and good problem-solving abilities.

Previous experience in hospital or large catering organisation and an understanding of Quality Improvement will be highly regarded.
