**HOSPITAL CLEANER (Grade 2)**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- We are seeking enthusiastic Cleaners who will join our valued members of the Environmental Services Department. The position will involve but not limited to general cleaning duties, waste management and carpet/hard-floor cleaning duties throughout all areas of the hospital.
- Mercy Hospital for Women - Environmental Services Department
- Responsible for ensuring a clean, safe environment is maintained in compliance with Victorian cleaning standards
- Performing the functions of general cleaning, waste management and carpet/hard-floor cleaning in administration & general ward areas of the hospital
- Training and education will be provided for various cleaning equipment & transport machinery
- Reporting daily to the Environmental Services Supervisor

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Previous experience as a Cleaner in a hospital setting (Desirable)
- Availability and flexibility for shifts **_morning, afternoon and weekends_**:

- Effective communication skills and good organisational skills
- Ability to comprehend and follow verbal/written instructions and procedures
- A strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team
- Enthusiastic and a positive “can do” attitude
