We have an excellent opportunity for a Reconciliation Officer to join our Finance Department on a permanent full time basis. If you’re looking for a job that challenges you and gives you opportunities to grow, you’ve found the right role.

**A role you will love**

The Reconciliation Officer role will be responsible for performing bank reconciliations and related activities for all assigned bank accounts. This involves the investigation and management of daily exceptions, which includes rigorous follow-ups across all reconciling items. The focus is to ensure that reconciliations are completed within the service level agreements (SLAs), that risks are mitigated, that reconciliations comply with audit controls and processes, and that existing reconciliation processes are effective as a key control over cash transactions.

**Some of your key responsibilities will include**:

- Completing all System
- and Excel
- based reconciliations as per Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Establishing and maintaining documented process/procedure manuals of all processes within the reconciliations function
- Managing of internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Providing accurate and timely daily, weekly, and monthly reporting
- Ensuring that all daily reconciling items as well as aged outstanding items are investigated and cleared
- Identifying and escalating areas of risk or problems to Line Manager and/or Team Leader as deemed appropriate

You will possess the ability to quickly learn and take on new processes, thrive in a fast paced environment and meet deadline driven task’s daily.

**Other key skills required include**:

- An Accounting / Business degree
- Experience in a high-volume reconciliation and service delivery environment is highly desirable
- An understanding of accounting concepts and principles
- Excellent MS Office knowledge, especially Excel (Pivot Tables, V look ups etc.)
- Strong analytical and time management skills to achieve successful outcomes in a timely manner
- Effective stakeholder management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed.
