**The Opportunity**
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is now recruiting for an experienced military aircrew member with fast/large jet operational experience and/or extensive large Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) operational experience to join the Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E-Aus) team. This work represents the future of Australian and International military aviation, complementing both manned aircraft and other unmanned/autonomous weapon systems. Your efforts within the BT&E-Aus team will contribute to Australian designed, built and operated autonomous systems that are destined to change the nature of military capability.
BDA is the premiere provider of military capability to the Australian Defence Force (ADF). BDA actively manages the sustainment and operation of multiple aviation platforms across the ADF, including F/A-18, P-8, and Chinook.
**Responsibilities**
- Utilise your experience as an experienced military aviator and your knowledge of complex airborne systems, sensors and weapons to directly shape the development of Boeing's autonomous airborne systems.
- Accept a rare opportunity to play an instrumental role in a variety of first-of-type, developmental flight test programs.
- Adopt a diverse and challenging role with an industry leader.

Specific roles include
- Guiding the development of airborne autonomous systems for the Australian military
- Operate unmanned systems during developmental/production ground and flight test
- Assist in the development of critical capability tools to support the system.
- Create flight/mission plans and coordinate with team members to ensure test and safety objectives are satisfied.
- Evaluate system performance and human factors characteristics to ensure capability objectives are satisfied.
- Utilise leading-edge simulation tools to conduct advanced concepts analysis.
- Provide advice to the development team to ensure airworthiness criteria are satisfied.
- Provide advice to the development team on the operational employment of UAVs.
- Support the training and instruction of customer aircrew on the operation of BDA UAV's.

You are an experienced military aviator, with the right attributes to work within a leading-edge environment that is inventing the future. You are a highly competent aviation specialist within your field, an innovator, a strong collaborator and a problem solver. You will also bring other attributes, such as a broad experience of aircraft types, sensors, weapons and unmanned platforms and developmental/acceptance/operational test experience.
