About the Role
Reporting to the Vendor and Strategic Initiatives Manager, a newly created position has become available on a full time basis for a Vendor Specialist to join the team in our Docklands head office.
The primary purpose of this role is to undertake analysis to seek, develop, and help implement Vendor onboarding and offboarding for the Contact Centres. They will also work with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate service provider support and related initiatives.
You will work closely with various teams and the wider Customer Service team to put a strong contractual governance for Vendors and holding them accountable including ensuring that they are delivering their KPIs/SLAs. You will work closely with Procurement and Legal for RFP process and assist your manager with legal and commercial negotiations and ensure the close coordination and ensuring the achievement of expected outcomes.
Key accountabilities of this role:
- Engage with existing Vendors, internal and external stakeholders in establishing Contractual Governance including holding vendors accountable for their contractual obligations and promises made during the RFP Stage- Ensuring all change requests are up to date and formally documented with vendors- Assessing the performance of vendors in line with agreed KPIs/SLAs- Supporting leadership in running and analysis of RFPs, comparing BAFOs and creating business case to finalise the RFP recommendations- Assisting with Negotiating contracts with suppliers- Ensuring vendor compliance with AGL's policies and standards- Managing vendor billing and disbursements- Onboarding and Offboarding of Vendors including coordination with procurement, legal and business teams- Analyse and undertaking in-depth investigations to help define business problems by gathering technical and non-technical information.- Conduct research and analysis to identify market best practices, evaluate potential impacts and shape these opportunities to execution with the aim to contribute to the long-term value of the business including finding opportunities to incorporate those in vendor contracts.- Perform an end-to-end impact analysis of pre-change implementation and perform post implementation reviews of vendor onboarding and offboarding.- Contributing to the development of a framework to enable the effective implementation of change within the Contact Centres and across business as required both onshore and offshore- Use a range of systems and databases to gather information and provide valuable insights.
Qualifications, key skills and experience required:
- Expertise in vendor management, particularly in the telecommunications or energy sector.- Skilled in analysing processes, identifying root causes, and driving solutions.- Ability to provide key insights, and use data as the basis to tell a story- Strong Negotiation skills.- Written and verbal communication: The ability to prepare and present on initiatives.- Problem solving skills and ability to define a problem and come up with potential solutions- Critical thinking - Will need to provide solutions inline with business strategy.- Strong organizational skills
- Will need to be able to manage multiple initiatives and documentation of discussions.- Ability to plan at a strategic and operational level.- Ability to collate and present meaningful reports at a strategic management level and at an operational level.- Proficient in Microsoft office Tools.- Coordination Skills to ensure timely execution of various actions with internal and external stakeholders.
