**Overview**
**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
Strategic Focus
- Conduct research and development of new technologies and provide ongoing support and training to other developers
- Contribute to architectural design and solution discussions
- Identify customer service trends and problems and implement appropriate solutions i.e. implementation of production, productivity, quality and customer service stands; system improvements and or enhancements etc.
- Ensure test strategies are in place before releasing any production materials
- Continuous improvement of development techniques and business knowledge
Operational Management
- Write, test and maintain code to ensure the output meets the business requirements.
- Involved in the development and maintenance of databases.
- Work closely with the IT, Customer Service and Production teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of outputs to the Client for approval
- Ensure the deliveries of all projects and tasks are within the agreed timeframe and quality parameters, in accordance with stakeholder expectations
- Production of customer facing communications across Digital & Print communications.
- Production of responsive digital communications across multiple platforms and devices
- Assist in the design and implementation of automated workflows
- Maintain and support legacy systems
People Leadership
- Actively develop team members to performance in role, set goals and develop clear plans to achieve their personal goals and overall business objectives
- Provide regular feedback, recognition, coaching and direction throughout the year to enhance their performance and growth, and realign their goals with changing business priorities
- Develop, implement and maintain effective and transparent communication strategies to ensure your team members are kept up to date with any general or organisational change
Governance & Risk
- Identify and implement appropriate quality controls, training and process improvements
**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Experience with the Quadient Inspire Platform, specifically Inspire Designer, Automation (or Scaler), Inspire Content Manager
- Knowledge of business and industry terminology specifically in relations to the Australian postal system.
- Business case analysis, quality assurance concepts and procedures.
- Experience with Adobe PDF manipulation, databases (MSSQL), integration through API and EDI, third party reporting, archiving and data extraction tools.
- Keeping abreast with new technologies to make the organisation operate efficiently by developing, testing and implementing new IT solutions.
- Knowledge and understanding of the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC).
- Knowledge of structured programming methodology, data analysis and design skills.
- Having common sense and the ability to learn quickly will ensure you succeed in this role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate to staff across all levels within the organisation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to respond to users’ business requirements and meet deadlines.
- Availability to provide after-hours support as required.
- Ability to work well under pressure and to balance competing priorities to deliver timely outcomes.
- Must have a strong team focus and be able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Excellent organisation and documentation skills.
