**Role Description**

We’re looking for a full-time, onsite **Environmental Field Technician (Asbestos) / Team Lead** to join our growing team in Brisbane, QLD. This is an onsite, hands-on role working from our mobile asbestos testing laboratory delivering accurate results, with same-day reporting. You’ll play a key role in maintaining clear and professional communication with both clients and team members to ensure testing is accurate, timely, and aligned with our safety-first approach.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Lead asbestos inspections, sample collection and analysis aligned with AS 5370 and ISO 17025
- Prepare documentation & reports to NATA-accredited standards
- Use tools like PLM, stereo microscopes & field sampling equipment
- Stay current with asbestos-related regulations and drive compliance
- Communicate clearly with clients, builders, and civilians onsite
- Participate in internal training, team meetings, and contribute to growth

**What You Bring**:
Must-haves:

- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science, or similar
- 3+ years of relevant field experience (asbestos-focused)
- PLM & Stereo Microscope knowledge and experience (**must**)
- Australian Driver’s License (must - we're a mobile laboratory)
- Strong time management and independence
- Experience in asbestos testing and handling
- Experience / knowledge of asbestos and how to identify it using a microscope (**must**)
- Ability to positively lead a team as we grow
- Familiarity with ISO 17025, ISO 9001, AS 5370 (previously AS 4964) or ISO 22262

**Highly desirable**:

- Experience in a NATA- accredited laboratory
- WHS tickets (e.g. Working at Heights, asbestos awareness)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
