Together, we are a
multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.- We currently have an opportunity for a Commercial Manager in Canberra to work on Joint projects **.**- **What You’ll Do**
- This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:

- **ASDEFCON Contract Management** : Oversee support and software contracts, including changes, deliverables, performance, negotiations, and approvals.
- **Complex Procurement Leadership** : Lead end-to-end procurement activities, develop ASDEFCON-based contracts, and manage evaluation and risk documentation.
- **Commercial Risk & Compliance Oversight** : Identify and manage commercial risks while ensuring adherence to Defence procurement policies and contract requirements.
- **Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory** : Provide timely commercial advice to stakeholders and coordinate representation at key contract meetings.
- **Team Development & Collaboration** : Support the development of APS commercial staff and participate in workshops, forums, and internal reporting activities.**What You’ll Bring**
- **Materiel Procurement & Contract Management Expertise** : Demonstrated experience managing complex procurement activities and contracts, including ASDEFCON or equivalent frameworks.
- **Commercial Risk & Probity Knowledge** : Skilled in identifying and managing commercial risks with a strong understanding of Commonwealth probity requirements.
- **Regulatory & Policy Proficiency** : Extensive knowledge of Commonwealth procurement legislation and frameworks, including the PGPA Act and CPRs.
- **Stakeholder & Communication Skills** : Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally.
- **Formal Qualifications & Team Capability** : Holds relevant qualifications in procurement or contracting, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively under pressure.- Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum ** Negative Vetting 1** or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with ** International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)** requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
