Reporting to both the Site Manager on site and HSEQT Manager in Perth office this role supports site operations with the implementation of the company’s health and safety management plans, policies, and systems to maintain and improve the health, safety, environmental and training standards. The role will also assist the site team by conducting inspections to identify hazards, advising on effective measures to minimise potential risks in the workplace as well as undertaking investigations into safety incidents to identify root causes and preventative actions.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Work with the site management team and HSEQT Manager to ensure the site HSET
requirements are established, implemented and maintained in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO
14001 and ISO 48001
- Establish and maintain accurate HSET statistics and compile internal and external weekly and
monthly HSE reports on the site operation HSET performance
- Review and close out items on the site corrective action register from daily inspections,
internal and external audits, hazard cards and toolboxes
- Conduct daily inspection and provide advice on risks and controls
- Provide support for incident investigations and risk assessments including coaching and
facilitating
- Manage and deliver training and assessments including respirator fit testing, Company site
induction and VOC
- Collect training requirements from work crews and organise training courses on and off site
- Undertake internal audits and assist with external audits to verify compliance
- Provide consistent and accurate advice to employees and site management team on HSET
issues
- Assist with preparation of pre-start and toolbox meeting training and awareness material
- Assist with the preparation and review of HSE Management Plans, Team Based Risk
- Assessments, HSE Procedures and Forms
- Other HSET duties as directed by Site Manager and HSEQT Manager.

**Experience**:

- Certificate 4 or Diploma in Work Health and Safety
- Certificate 4 in Training & Assessment TAE40116 or TAE40110
- Nationally Accredited Working at Heights Certificate
- Nationally Accredited Confined Space Certificate
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and laws.
- Must have a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both autonomously and with others
- Ability to work strictly according to instructions
- Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks efficiently
- Advanced computer software skills, including Microsoft suite and using database and online
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role preferably in mining or construction industry.
