
Wantirna Ndis Support Worker

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Providing direct support to individuals and families with autism and high complex care needs, including adolescents.
- Implementing tailored support plans designed to meet the unique needs and goals of each client.
- Supporting individuals with non-verbal communication through alternative communication methods.
- Managing challenging behaviors, including aggression and self-harm, in a safe and effective manner.
- Assisting clients with daily living activities, personal care, and community participation.
- Building positive relationships with clients, their families, and other support networks.
- Documenting client progress, interventions, and incidents in accordance with NDIS guidelines.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and external service providers to ensure holistic care and support.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of two years of experience working as an NDIS Support Worker, with a focus on autism and high complex care needs.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in supporting individuals with autism, adolescence, and non-verbal communication.
- Proven ability to manage challenging behaviors, including aggression and self-harm, in a calm and professional manner.
- Familiarity with NDIS documentation requirements, including note writing and reporting.
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or a related field.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their support networks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations.
- A compassionate and person-centered approach to care and support.
