**Who we’re looking for**:

- The objective of the Specialist Advisor, Commercial Systems role is to provide expertise for troubleshooting complex issues and consulting on ways to enhance our Passenger Services Systems. The Specialist Advisor is recognised as a senior expert and thought leader who liaises with internal clients and relevant Technology team members to ensure the support and design of systems meet the desired outcomes for the Group. As a Specialist Advisor you will support and mentor other members of the Technology team to develop their understanding of these systems and help build a robust support capability. This role is engaged in a diverse range of activities and is a key supporting expert for the entire Virgin Australia Group.**This is a permanent role based preferably in Brisbane or Sydney.**

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Work with project teams in designing system enhancements and/or implementing and integrating new systems.
- Assist other Technology teams or business units in investigating business process or system challenges and identifying opportunities to better embrace industry standards or look at innovative solutions.
- Build and maintain positive engagement with vendors and technology providers to develop successful working relationships that contribute to the effectiveness of technology support.
- Identify the cause of complex issues, assist with workarounds resolution.
- Build, maintain and leverage strong relationships within Technology and across VA in order to influence adoption and utilisation of systems and tools.

**You’ll be great in this role if you have**:

- Experience in all aspects of Sabre Passenger Service System (PSS) and webservices
- 5 years’ experience working in systems for a large, ticketed airline/or equivalent transportation company.
- Strong understanding of the principles of a ticketed, full-service environment with a complex network of codeshare and interline relationships.- Experience in Travel management, distribution, revenue management, inventory systems, IT Service Delivery is preferrable.
- Strong communication and facilitation (across business, technical and management level)
- Extensive understanding of operational business processes which are supported by the airlines commercial systems.
