**Business Banking (BB) manages relationships with Commonwealth Bank’s small-medium enterprise customers, mid-market corporate customers, and regional and agribusiness customers, providing a wide range of financial services and solutions. It also services our personal and institutional online trading customers.

Business Lending (BL) is a product and specialised sales team that offers working capital, business loans, asset finance, corporate and property finance to our customers. It also has responsibility for Line 1 risk and controls for these products. BL is directly responsible for product management, process management, portfolio and pricing management and arrears and financial difficulty management. It also works closely with bankers, data and analytics, digital and customer experience teams.

The Automated Credit and Bank Guarantees crew, including the Credit Risk Strategy (CRS) team are accountable for automating and digitising business lending so we can deliver faster and seamless credit to our business lending customers. With a customer obsession to Lend at the speed of light we aim to leverage data and technology to provide faster decisions and funds to our customers. Through the credit risk strategy Centre of Excellence (COE), we aim to provide reporting and insights to optimise credit decisioning and improve time to decisioning and optimise the risk reward trade off. Through The Business Lending Automated Credit (BLAC) program we aim to unify all business lending credit decisions and create an Underwriting Service Domain which can be leveraged by all BL products. The implementation of Experian One is a critical first step in a journey to automate and improve credit decisioning capability.

**Do work that matters**

As Product Owner you will be a critical enabler for automated credit and faster decisioning for our customers. This role is responsible for the strategic direction of the Business Lending automated decisioning ecosystem, with a focus on Data and setting up the foundational assets required for Service domains to produce and consume, including Underwriting.

We are seeking an experienced data and process specialist who can work closely with other Product Owners to unlock the benefits of data by owning the Business lending data strategy and establishing key data products using Agile practices.

Specifically, you will;
- Translate business data needs into consumable data products for analyses, reporting and model building on strategic platforms (as a service on cloud)
- Participate and actively influence Service Domain design through knowledge of Business Lending processes and underlying data flows
- Manage stakeholders across Technology and CDAO to navigate through greenfield developments in cloud while limiting tech debt
- Manage change, product development and delivery where the change process is emergent and requires definition including solving complex problems and anticipating customer needs. Design and deliver products with resources (including Technology where applicable) that cut across the organisation and where there are emerging dependencies on internal and external teams that need to be managed
- Advocate and contribute to best practices and share learnings with the Product Owner community, Practices and leaders across the Group, including mentoring Product Owners and squad members, challenging and influencing stakeholders across the Crew, Domain and Group, as well as Chapter and Chapter Area Leads to identify strategic requirements for squads. Also advocate for the Product practice externally to the market to attract top talent
- Define product vision, goals and roadmap, aligned to Crew objectives and purpose, and engage with key stakeholders (Business and Technology) to manage its delivery
- Accountable for end-to-end value delivery and product lifecycle management (including managing requirements lifecycle, production deployment and release day coordination and sign off). Works with the squad and the crew to determine who is best to perform change request and delivery framework related administrative tasks
- Act as the voice of the customer and business and translate this for the squad
- Accountable for addressing impediments, driving decisions and resolving escalations
- Drive product exploration (e.g. using design thinking and analytics) and formulate hypotheses to validate product strategy / design
- Manage the squad’s performance to defined objectives including OKR tracking
- Role model continuous improvement and customer focus
- Drive squad effectiveness and agile maturity (i.e. sprint burn down, release burn up, and squad/team health) in partnership with Agile Coaches and Performance Leads
