**Purpose of the Role**

**Hours of work**

Due to recent production increases, we currently have two vacancies for Maintenance Fitter on afternoon shift 1 pm - 9 pm Monday to Friday.

In addition, there is a need for people who are flexible to cover weekend work as and when the need arises in order to support the team.

**Accountabilities**
- Attending to repairs, breakdowns and maintenance to production machinery
- Proactive & preventative maintenance to plant equipment
- Working autonomously and within a team environment
- Ensuring timely repair of equipment and plant requirements are met
- Compliance to safety procedures in order that the safety of our workers is maintained to the highest degree
- Sustain and drive quality solutions in an HACCP environment
- Actively seek opportunities to improve operations performance whilst improving system reliability and reducing overall downtime

**Skills Required**:

- Australian mechanical trade qualification
- Industrial experience in installations, fault finding, repairs and maintenance on manufacturing equipment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and chase issues to sustained solutions
- Strong knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic operated systems
- Experience in a high volume manufacturing industry
- Experience with Maximo CMMS would be an advantage
- Skills working in a collaborative team working environment
- Have a proactive approach
