**About the role**:
Are you a hands-on problem solver who loves making a difference in your community? Bathurst Regional Council is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled **General Assistant (Handyman)** to join our team

**Work Schedule**:

- 4 days per week
- 24 hours per week
- Flexible schedule to help you balance work and life

**What You’ll Do**:
As our General Assistant, you’ll be the go-to person for maintaining and improving our Civic Centre. Every day will be different, but your key tasks will include:

- Fixing and maintaining the Civic Centre and Post Office building.
- Carrying out minor cleaning, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs.
- Painting, decorating, test & tagging, and general upkeep to keep our spaces looking great.
- Ensuring safety standards are met in everything you do.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Experience in general maintenance or handyman work.
- A "can-do" attitude and pride in your craftsmanship.
- Basic knowledge of tools, materials, and safety practices.
- Great time management and the ability to work independently.
- A friendly personality.

This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug and alcohol screen.

**Salary**:$1,044.00 to $1,096.90 per week + superannuation

**Position Status**:Permanent Part-time

**Hours of work**:24 hours per week
