Based in Blacktown - Permanent role - Technician

**Overview**:
The Technician plays a pivotal role in our Equipment service team, ensuring high-quality work to consistent standards. This role requires precision, structure, and discipline, with the capability to handle a diverse product range and customer base. The Technician must excel in working on service and maintenance projects independently while developing a comprehensive understanding of our equipment range.

**Reporting Structure**:
The Technician reports directly to the Workshop Supervisor and General Manager, forming an integral part of our service team. Interaction with customers, stakeholders, and Company Directors is also essential.

**Specific Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Receive instructions from management, manage assigned jobs, and execute duties to required standards.
- Plan weekly work activities to optimize time utilization and output.
- Develop independence in handling various tasks without significant supervision.
- Undertake activities encompassing fitting, hydraulics, and mechanical repair.
- Interpret technical drawings to complete assigned tasks accurately.
- Conduct fault-finding analysis on equipment, offering repair recommendations and ensuring high-quality testing.
- Provide on-site product training, commissioning, and demonstrations for customers as needed.
- Produce service reports and maintain accurate reporting practices.
- Perform manual handling tasks and maintain a neat, tidy, and safe workplace.
- Meet deadlines consistently and ensure diligent time tracking.
- Prioritize safety and contribute to a high-quality work environment.
- Adhere to good health and safety workplace practices.
- Demonstrate adaptability to work in various environments, both indoors and outdoors.

**Required Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications**:

- Current valid driver’s license.
- Preferably holds a trade qualification.
- Preferred experience in hydraulics and exposure to DC electrical systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic computer systems.
- Knowledge of good health and safety workplace practices.
- Maintains good personal health and physical condition.
