Exciting new opportunity for a Traffic Planner to join ConnectSydney supporting a major asset performance joint venture
About the Role

ConnectSydney, a dynamic joint venture between Service Stream, Boral and Johnson Controls, will be delivering the Sydney Road Assets Performance Contract for the Harbour Zone in metropolitan Sydney. We are looking for talented, motivated and driven individuals to join the team who will be committed to delivering innovative, customer-focused and sustainable outcomes whilst also establishing a positive legacy for our customers and community.

The Traffic Planner is responsible for with carrying out traffic related investigations and recommending solutions that address the problems. The Traffic Planner will also assist the Traffic Manager to prepare monthly reports and prepare works instructions to install traffic management devices.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare accurate Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGSs), Traffic Management Plans
- Assist the Traffic Manager in the managements of subcontractors in the preparation of staging plans, traffic guidance schemes, traffic management plans
- Negotiation and receiving agreement on traffic management plans
- Approving Traffic Guidance Schemes and Traffic Management Plans (Where required) for individual tasks including those of sub-contractors
- Maintaining a strong relationship with Customer Journey Management (TMC)
- Assisting the Traffic Manager with liaison with Stakeholders regarding traffic impacts and negotiation of major closures to ensure the project is delivered with mínimal disruption.
- Develop Risk Assessments in line with the TGSs, TMPs etc

About You
- Demonstrated experience in traffic and/or transport engineering
- Knowledge of relevant Standards, procedures and TfNSW technical directives relating to traffic management.
- A practical knowledge of current standards and practice for bicycle and pedestrian facilities
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in working in a team and a multi-disciplinary environment.
- Experience with Rapid Plan AMS/GIS is advantageous
- Tertiary qualifications in TTM Required, TC, ITCP, PWZTMP
- Current Driver’s License
