**Role Details**

The Department for Child Protection is seeking a **Social Worker** or **Case Manager** to join the Inner North Office on a full-time term basis.

The role is responsible for:

- Working within a team to provide high-quality case management for children and families, following statutory guidelines.
- Assisting families by supporting the safe return of children to their care and ensure the development, stability, and security of children in care.
- Maintaining a safe work environment by identifying and reporting incidents, hazards, injuries, and complying with DCP policies and procedures.
- Providing inclusive services for Aboriginal people and those from diverse backgrounds, while engaging in cultural learning to enhance relationships and services.
- Providing concise, informative written and verbal reports based on evidence analysis, including serving as a witness in court proceedings.
- Undertaking regular visits and supporting parents in developing parenting skills.

We are looking for a motivated, organised individual with the ability to understand factors contributing to child abuse, particularly in the context of child development, parenting, family, and environmental influences. This understanding should be confidently applied to your work and the decisions you make.

**Special Conditions**

**Essential**:
**AHP**: A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
**PO**: Appropriate degree qualification in Community Services, Social Sciences, Human Services, Health or related field.
