**Position Information**:
Mount Annan Public School is located between Camden and Campbelltown, within walking distance to the Australian Botanic Gardens in Mount Annan. The school has an enrolment of 649 students and is comprised of 25 mainstream classes and four support classes. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island students make up 7.2 % of the student population and 27 % of the students have a language background other than English. **Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary combined with a demonstrated capacity to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic leadership team and effectively balance the dual roles of exemplary classroom teacher and the complex responsibilities of the Assistant Principal role.

Ability to lead and evaluate the implementation of evidence-based practices using data driven processes, ensuring the provision of quality, differentiated teaching with an emphasis on High Potential and Gifted Education.

Evidence of visible leadership that demonstrates strong emotional intelligence and outstanding interpersonal skills to enhance school culture and strengthen positive partnerships with all stakeholders.

Proven ability to strengthen a dynamic and responsive school-wide approach to student inclusion, wellbeing, attendance and behaviour management processes enabling every student to connect, succeed, and thrive.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
- 5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
- 6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy
