Procurement Manager

Sugar Australia has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity, based at our Yarraville, VIC head office. Reporting to the General Manager Operations, this role will play a crucial part in leading and managing the procurement team to deliver strategic direction and drive commercial value for our operations.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Leading and managing the procurement team and key categories at Sugar Australia, while providing sound strategic direction to the function.
- Managing relationships and activity with broader Wilmar teams across procurement to deliver value.
- Offering commercial expertise to eliminate waste and drive commercial value.
- Understanding the end-to-end supply chain for appropriate categories to identify opportunities to deliver value and drive EBIT and balance sheet growth.
- Leading the allocated direct and indirect procurement categories with a focus on identifying and implementing cost and risk reduction initiatives.
- Delivering, analysing, and evaluating tender documentation for nominated categories.
- Managing contract compliance and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Maintaining and continuously improving the Purchasing SAP system in conjunction with the broader Wilmar businesses to enhance operational efficiency.

**What we're wanting you to bring to the table**:
This role is ideally suited to someone with strong commercial awareness and leadership capabilities. You should have:

- A tertiary qualification in Business/Supply Chain/Procurement.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a Procurement leadership role.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Proven commercial and financial acumen with a focus on driving value.
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyse market trends and make data-driven decisions.
- A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with a positive disposition.
