Manager, Procurement

We are looking for a motivated, highly organized and experienced Manager, Procurement & Distribution to join our team at our Snapfresh facility in Brisbane on a full-time, permanent basis.

**More about this role**:
This leadership role is responsible for strategy, planning, directing, and coordinating key supply chain functions at Snapfresh including procurement of materials, packaging, and other non-food items and distribution of meals around the network.

**In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are**:

- Invite, assess, negotiate and award/recommend supplier tenders, bids, quotations, and proposals for all raw material and packaging requirements at Snapfresh.
- Establish and negotiate contract terms and conditions, on-board suppliers, and update systems.
- Manage critical vendors to deliver on contract requirements including performance targets and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and review supplier performance with respect to price, service, and quality, ensuring periodic review of trading terms for any improvements and/or better alternatives in the market.
- Study and monitor local and global trends of supply shortage to alert and mitigate possible obstacles without sacrificing service, quality, or availability.
- Perform cost analysis and measure benchmarking across industries.
- Provide spend analysis & reporting in constant search of prioritised cost saving opportunities and tracking of realised purchasing cost savings.
- Manage third party warehouse and transport provider(s) against agreed operational standards and KPI’s.
- Being the key person to liaise with during the audits thus enabling maximum effectiveness of the controls in place and their outcomes.
- Regularly visit warehouse locations and conduct audits against contracts and billings.
- Seek continuous improvements, efficiencies, and savings in logistics costs.
- Develop successful relationships across all levels of stakeholders, internally and externally.
- Identify and research potential new suppliers, goods, and services both locally and internationally.

**What do you need to be successful in securing this role?**
- Demonstrated success in a similar role with strong work ethic.
- Deep understanding of the end-to-end procurement process, and the commercial maturity to adapt to the market conditions.
- Experience in a category management role will be highly desirable.
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant field; CIPS qualifications preferred.
- Proven track record in achieving savings through strategic sourcing.
- Expert influencing and negotiating skills with a demonstrated ability to adapt personal style to suit a varied audience and a variety of interpersonal styles.
- Effective communication skills with ability to present effectively to senior management.
- Well developed financial competency to devise, execute and manage own budget.
- Ability to multitask and manage your time efficiently.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders in a high volume, high value environment.
- Possess a high degree of professionalism.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an analytical and methodical approach.
