A unique opening to join both Flinders University and the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network. We are seeking a leading Paediatric Medical Practitioner in the Women's and Children's Health area to work 0.5FTE at Flinders University and 0.5FTE at the Flinders Medical Centre, educating to the next generation of medical practitioners and providing high-quality healthcare to children and families.

SALHN provides a range of acute and sub-acute health services for people of all ages. SALHN includes Flinders Medical Centre, Noarlunga Hospital, GP Plus Health Care Centres and Super Clinics, Mental Health Services, Sub-acute services, including Repat Health Precinct, Jamie Larcombe Centre and Aboriginal Family Clinics.

**Responsibilities**:
Flinders University: The Clinical Academic will be a senior member of the academic staff in Paediatric Medicine, Women's and Children's Health in the College. In addition to leading quality research endeavours, the incumbent will provide leadership in the planning and delivery of topics within the Doctor of Medicine Program including development of curriculum teaching materials, delivery of lectures/tutorials or other innovative teaching and learning strategies, examinations and may be involved in placement education. Creating a respectful environment centred on education and research, the Clinical Academic will also develop strong working relationships with diverse stakeholders (internally and externally) to further the academic endeavours of the College and the University. Some out-of-hours work and travel (rural, interstate and overseas) may be required.

SALHN: As a Clinical Academic within SALHN, the incumbent will provide clinical services of the highest possible standard to children and families of the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network, specifically in inpatient, outpatient, community, and child protection settings. In addition, the Clinical Academic will be responsible for the teaching and supervision of undergraduate students and trainee medical officers; and to support research endeavours that occur within the department and division.

About You

A successful Clinical Academic will be a distinguished leader in Paediatric Medicine, Women's and Children's Health, with demonstrated evidence of teaching expertise and curriculum development at a tertiary level. You have an established research reputation internationally, in an area related to the College of Medicine and Public Health's strengths, evidenced by quality publications and grant acquisitions. Communication and interpersonal skills come naturally to you, particularly when it comes to collaborating with staff, students, and industry.

Furthermore, you will demonstrate:

- Attainment of Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent and appropriate specialist qualifications, registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration in the field of General Paediatrics.
- Completion of a PhD, or equivalent qualification
- Evidence of delivering innovative teaching methods to students, including e-learning platforms, communication technologies and ways that you inspire excellence amongst colleagues
- Previous experience supervising honours/research
