**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Category Manager within the Bakery, Dairy & Frozen team. You will assist the Category Manager - Cakes in growing profitable category sales, maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting the customer-centric category strategy.

You'll also:

- Support in the end-to-end accountability, managing forecasts and range reviews.
- Manage the collection, input and maintenance of all category data, including promotional systems, data systems and new lines.
- Deliver against the overall category strategy.
- Manage the trade plan and MDI spend for instore cakes in addition to, leading trade planning for Bakery.
- Execute the category’s pricing, promotion, range selection and layout development.
- Develop strong supplier relationships to effectively partner and execute goals.

**About you and your skills**
- Project Management skills and experience.
- Knowledge of the merchandising function and processes.
- Strong analytical skills; demonstrated through proactively sourcing customer insights and data to formulate category recommendations.
- Experience working within cross functional teams to manage and execute projects.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate both internally and externally.
