Rookie Me is searching for a **Social Media Manager** passionate about sportsto join our team Working collaboratively with our Marketing team to offer support in content creation and management to our individual departments.

This role is perfect for someone who loves **Australian rules football and/or basketball** and can produce high-quality content across multiple platforms.

**About the Role**

Based at our **Rookie Me headquarters in Hampton, just minutes from the beach**, this role involves covering **Australian rules football and basketball**, managing our **social media strategy**, and creating engaging **multimedia content**.

Reporting to our **Marketing team**, you will also work closely with our **Creative and Journalist teams** to produce compelling content that drives traffic to our website and social media platforms.

This position offers a **collaborative work environment**, with opportunities to develop your skills in **social media management and journalism.**

**Key Responsibilities**_(include but are not limited to)_**Social Media & Content Creation**
- Develop and execute **Rookie Me Central’s social media strategy** (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube).
- Produce and manage the **monthly social media calendar**.
- Ensure all social media content aligns with **brand guidelines**.
- Create and schedule **engaging digital content** across platforms.
- Engage with followers and respond to queries.
- Capture **high-quality photos and video content** for social media and editorial use.

**Journalism & Sports Coverage**
- Conduct **interviews with players, coaches, and industry professionals**.
- Provide **live coverage**, including **in-game updates, commentary, and analysis**.
- Research and report on **trends, statistics, and breaking news** relevant to our audience.
- Create **video content**, including **highlight reels and behind-the-scenes footage**.

**Requirements**:

- **Valid Victorian driver’s licence**.
- **Valid Working with Children’s Check**.
- Passion for **Australian rules football and/or basketball**.

**Skills & Abilities**
- **Experience using professional camera equipment** _(preferred, but we are happy to train the right person with the right attitude)_.
- Experience using the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).
- Strong **writing, editing, and storytelling** abilities.
- Experience managing **social media platforms** and creating engaging content.
- **Creative thinker** with strong attention to detail.
- **Passionate and eager to learn** new skills.
