**About the role**

Reporting to the Head of Performance, this role will work closely with a team of analysists and change management specialists within our Operational Performance team to manage data quality and provide insights to support continuous improvement across V/Line.

This role will work with a large variety of data sets, and supports a diverse range of stakeholders both within the Operations division and key partners across the broader organisation.

There will be opportunity to work on the day-to-day operational data including data validation or cleansing, while also supporting the development of reports and presentations for senior leaders to enable effective data driven decision making.
- Key Accountabilities include:_
- Analysing existing timetables and the success of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Supporting V/Lines daily performance review process.
- Undertaking detailed data analysis of operational trends and providing summary reports to management.
- Leading the coordination and monitoring of performance improvement priorities within the Performance team.

**About you**

You have at least 1-2 years’ experience as a data analyst and have a passion to learn or develop your rail industry knowledge.
- Experience with translating technical data into clear and understandable insights, reports or executive briefs is essential.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication, both written and verbal are a must.
- A passion for technology, with experience with the Microsoft office suite including PowerBi, Teams, Sharepoint, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work through ambiguous problems in a structured manner.
- A keen interest in driving continuous improvement.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The salary for this role is **CLERK C4 ($49.9140 per hour)**in accordance with the current **_V/Line Rail Operations and Administrative Employees Agreement 20_**_23._**
