To undertake a range of activities that protects and improves the health and wellbeing of the community through the identification and mitigation of environmental health risks. These activities are undertaken in accordance with relevant legislation, business and operational plans and delegated authority.

This position is part of a multidisciplinary team of public health practitioners who plan, develop, implement and evaluate environmental health risk assessment, education and enforcement programs to protect the public from physical, chemical, biological and radiological agents in the environment that may adversely impact on human health. There is a focus on working with Local Government Authorities within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.
