**About the Role**

An exciting opportunity to ’learn and grow’ exists with our sports turf management and grounds team. We are seeking a real go-getter, who is enthusiastic and motivated to contribute to maintaining our venue as one of Australia’s best. The contribution that this role makes has the spotlight firmly pointed at it right across the year.

You will assist with maintaining **GIANTS Stadium’s** playing surfaces to international standards and world’s best practice. You will work with an experienced and passionate Grounds team in maintaining all other turf, landscape and surrounds of Sydney Showground.

As part of this role you will be required to undertake the appropriate course to achieve a Sports Turf Management qualification.

This is a full-time position; working 76 hours per fortnight on an event-based roster. (This includes time to attend courses of study). You will be expected to do some weekend and evening work, with additional days leading into, during and post Sydney Showground events. Flexibility is essential

**About you**

**To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following**:

- Minimum completion of NSW School Certificate or equivalent
- Current C Class Driver's Licence or willingness to obtain
- Passion to learn and grow within the industry
- Ability to work to an event based roster (including some weekend and evening work)
- Proven history of being punctual & reliable
- Have excellent communication & interpersonal skills,
- Have an outstanding work ethic and impeccable grooming
- Have a positive “can do” attitude
- Be legally entitled to live & work in Australia
- Be willing to undertake a police clearance check if required
