**About the Opportunity**

As a key member of the Capability Development team, and with a primary focus on the pioneering SSN AUKUS Build program, this role represents a rare opportunity to work on a number of initiatives to support the delivery of an essential sovereign capability for Australia.

With a strong focus on supporting the development and delivery of training programs to ensure the ASC workforce is appropriately skilled, the **Project Coordinator** is accountable to the Project Manager for delivering detailed project management and support activities required during all phases of the project lifecycle.

**Responsibilities**
- Projects which deliver a skilled workforce to the AUKUS Build Program consistent with the resource demand of the Program. This may also include supporting the development and delivery of training programs to ensure resources deployed to the Program are appropriately skilled.
- Very minor projects may include business/process development and improvement projects.
- Participates in the development of project plans that satisfy ASC objectives of safety and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinates with ASC functional departments such as Engineering, Quality, Planning, Production, Supply Chain, PMO, People & Culture, Commercial, Procurement, and Finance.
- Identifies risks and supports risk management activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitors project performance, analyzes variances, and implements corrective actions to ensure the project remains on track.

**About you**
- Tertiary qualifications in a technical or project management discipline or equivalent experience in a systems engineering, naval construction, or complex asset management/development environment (essential).
- High-level verbal and written communication skills.
- Practical knowledge of Scheduling, Earned Value Management, financial, stakeholder, and personnel management in a complex project environment.
- Diploma or higher qualifications in Project Management (desirable).
- Two to five years’ experience in a similar project environment, preferably in the Defence industry (desirable).
- Autonomous, goal-directed, and capable of managing multiple priorities with limited direction.
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication, with excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Capable of building strong business relationships within the ASC organization and the broader Enterprise.

**Eligibility**

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance (Negative Vetting Level 1). Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
