**Role Summary**:
The Policy Advisor role is an opportunity in our Strategy, Policy, and Social Value Team based at our Forrest Centre Head Office.
The purpose of this role is to support the Policy team in the research and analysis of information and data relating to state, federal and international energy policies. You will liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to engage in issues relating to energy policy.
**Key responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to, the following**:
- Research and analyses energy policies to formulate recommendations for the Policy team and assist in the development of position papers for internal audiences.
- Provide information to internal stakeholders on international, national, and state energy policy issues.
- Coordinate and assist in the development of business responses and frameworks for internal approval in response to government proposals.
- Liaises with government departments, industry, and business representatives to understand the implications for Synergy on projects.
- Implement continuous improvement and business initiatives in a policy context, including information management.
**What you’ll bring**:
- Tertiary qualification or experience ideally in a related discipline, such as business, management, economics, corporate affairs, or policy
- Experience in policy research, formulation and development and evaluation
- Experience in energy related industry
- Experience in financial analysis and implications and provision of policy advice to key stakeholders
