About the Role:
Anglicare have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker in our Children and Parenting Support team. As a Support Worker you will provide support to children and parents through supported playgroups using an integrated service delivery model in Southwest Sydney.
This is a Casual role based in Liverpool.
Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Engagement and Participation: Actively participate in activities with children and parents to create a stimulating environment.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of personal information, discussing details only with relevant managers.
- Safety and Supervision: Ensure a safe environment by supervising children and maintaining equipment.
- Duty of Care: Report any concerns about a child’s behavior or well-being to management and comply with mandatory reporting requirements.
- Documentation: Complete and maintain client documentation and statistical information as required by organizational and legislative standards.
- Operational Support: Assist in setting up activities, preparing food, and packing away equipment to ensure smooth operation of the playgroup.
- Workplace Safety: Keep the workplace safe, clean, and tidy, and participate in safety activities and hazard reporting.
About you:
- Certificate 3 or about in Community Welfare, early Childhood
- Current NSW First Aid Certificate
- Valid Working with Children’s Check
- Excellent communication skills
- COVID-19 vaccination is highly recommended
