About the role
As a Support Worker at We Care Community, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and personalised care to older adults and individuals with disabilities. This is a casual role, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle. We are looking right now for a number of people to support our client group in Liverpool, Carlingford, North Parramatta, Leppington, Wollongong, Goulburn and other locations across Sydney metro area, Hunter region and the south coast. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide personal care and assistance with daily living activities.
Support clients in developing life skills, building individual capacity to promote their wellbeing and independence.
Implement personalised care plans in collaboration with clients and their families to support inclusion in community life
Assist with mobility and transportation to access the community and appointments.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment promoting dignity and independence.
Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with industry standards.
Qualifications / Other
A genuine passion for supporting children, teens and adults with disabilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in a similar support worker role, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, person-centred care
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
Working With Children Check
First Aid and CPR Certificate from Australian recognised provider; This is mandatory and must be regularly reviewed. CPR every 12 months, first aid every 24 months.
Police check that has been completed within the last 6 months- except NSW
Proof of citizenship or right to work in Australia
COVID Vaccinations or medical letter
NDIS orientation safety modules certificate
Full license; access to a vehicle that has comprehensive insurance
Relevant qualifications in community services, aged care, or disability support
Lived experience as a care of a person with a disability
Manual Handling training, with completed certificate
A mental health first aid certificate
Experience working with individuals with psychosocial disabilities
