**Community Support Worker with WWCC**

As a Community Support Worker, you will be part of a dedicated team that makes a difference in the lives of the people we take care of. We pride ourselves on the quality of our staff and most importantly our unwavering passion for the rights of people with a disability. We currently have positions available in City of Penrith (St Clair, Glenmore Park, St Mary's) and Greater Western Sydney Region.

**Skillset required**:

- Manual handling
- Hoist (stand up, ceiling, lifters)

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- First Aid and CPR certificate.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Manual Handling certificate.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Valid Driver’s License and comprehensive car insurance.

**The shifts may include**:

- Personal care
- Community access (transport to appointments and/or shopping)
- Social Support
- Meal preparation and medication assistance
- General domestic tasks

**Required Qualities**:

- Professional approach.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Display a commitment to the Mission, Vision, and Values of AHS.
- Ensure that the AHS Code of Conduct is adhered to at all times.
- Ensure that all policies, procedures, and work practices are adhered to at all times.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and build collaborative relationships.
- Ability to multi-task and work flexibly in responding to various needs of the customer.
- Proven ability in case of management or in undertaking GP management plans.
- Ability to plan, prioritise & manage day-to-day activities in an efficient manner.

**Skills & competencies**:

- Has experience and knowledge using hoists.
- Certificate III in Individual Support or its equivalent is highly desirable.
- Ability to follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support.
- Experience with high-intensity care is highly desirable.
