**About the Opportunity**:
As a research user facility open to all, supported by the Australian Government's National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS), CAS informs policy, provides critical services for IAEA, and enables discovery and innovation in areas such as environment, climate and health sciences, space technologies, advanced materials for energy and quantum, and cultural heritage. CAS has received grant funding under the NCRIS to provide uplift of its operational capacity and development of systems and technologies, including funding for these new positions in CAS. These roles play a critical role in supporting our goals and objectives for this grant-funded project.

**About You**:
**Your Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Work with technicians and scientists to design, construct, and commission bespoke equipment and systems for the accelerators, beamlines, and end-stations
- Maintain operation and availability of accelerator systems using technical knowledge to perform preventative routine and break-fix maintenance
- Safely plan, risk assess and conduct all work in accordance with relevant safety standards and guides
- Contribute to team effort on projects and the open sharing of technical information among team members
